Our Story

Richmond Tours is a family-owned student travel company founded in 1980 by Frank Petruzzi, whose passion for travel began while working as a tour escort in college. Rather than pursue a career in accounting, Frank built Richmond Tours around helping students experience new places, cultures, and opportunities beyond the classroom.

Today, Richmond Tours serves thousands of students each year with a team bringing more than 60 years of combined travel experience. Frank's oldest son, Anthony, now leads the company, combining a modern approach with the personal service Richmond Tours was built on. In 2025, Frank's youngest son, Michael, joined the business, helping expand destinations and strengthen relationships with schools across the East Coast.

Our mission remains simple: make student travel easy, accessible, and meaningful. We believe every student should have the opportunity to explore somewhere new and experience the world beyond their own community.
